Tesla

Tesla, Inc. was founded in 2003 by engineers Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning with the goal of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. The company was named after inventor and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla. In 2004, Elon Musk joined Tesla as an early investor and later became its CEO. Tesla launched its first vehicle, the Tesla Roadster, in 2008, proving that electric cars could be both practical and high-performing. Over the years, Tesla expanded its lineup with the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y. Today, Tesla is one of the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturers and is also involved in solar energy, battery storage, and artificial intelligence technologies.
